What is FR MDF?

    Fire-resistant and flame-retardant panels (FR MDF) are made by adding flame retardants and adhesives to wood fibers through continuous hot pressing. They are mostly used in public places that must meet strict fire regulations, 

as well as building interior decoration, production of flame-retardant furniture and flame-retardant floors, and wooden fire doors. Production, ship and vehicle interior decoration, etc. Standard fire rated MDF has a red core

Classification of fire protection:

China national standard GB8624-97 divides the combustion performance of building materials into the following grades.

Class A: Non-combustible building materials: Materials that hardly burn. 

Class B1: flame retardant building materials: flame retardant materials have good flame retardant effect. It is       difficult to catch fire when exposed to open flame or high temperature in the air, and it is not easy to spread  quickly, and it will stop burning immediately when the fire source is removed. (Currently wooden materials can only reach B1 level)

 Class B2: Combustible building materials: Combustible materials have a certain flame-retardant effect. When exposed to open flames or high temperatures in the air, it will immediately ignite and burn, which can easily lead to the spread of fire, such as wooden columns, wooden roof trusses, wooden beams, wooden stairs, etc.

Class B3: Flammable building materials: Without any flame retardant effect, it is extremely flammable and has a great fire hazard.
