Decoration OSB
The oriented strand board (OSB), also known as the European pine board, is made of small diameter timber, thinning timber, wood core, veneer, branch Y timber, etc., and is processed with special chip equipment (long wood chip planer or two section chip planer) along the direction of wood texture into shavings that are 90-130mm long, 5-30mm wide, and 0.5mm thick. After drying, applying glue, and paving the shavings crosswise and directionally in the specified direction, a kind of artificial board formed by hot pressing.
Characteristics of OSB
1. Wide sources of raw materials and low prices.
The raw materials of directional particle board are mainly small diameter wood of soft coniferous wood and broad-leaf wood, fast-growing thinning forest, such as eucalyptus, Chinese fir, poplar thinning wood, etc., with a wide range of sources.
2. High output rate
Compared with other types of wood-based boards, oriented particle board has a higher output rate. In addition, the oriented particleboard produced from trailer-grade logs changes the characteristics of soft trailer-based wood, making it become high-quality wood-based board with high strength and stability, which improves the utilization rate of domestic wood resources and reduces the pressure of imported log materials shortage.
3. Safety and environmental protection
Isocyanate (MDI) is used in the production process to replace the traditional phenolic resin adhesives, less sizing, low formaldehyde release, will not cause harm to the environment and human health, is a safe environmental protection green material.
4. Superior performance
The physical and mechanical properties of directional particleboard are much better than those of ordinary particleboard, which mainly has the following characteristics:
(1) Anti-deformation, anti-stripping, anti-warping, with uniform strength, stable size and other characteristics, while overcoming some congenital defects of wood, such as small size, scar defects and so on. ;
(2) Anti-corrosion, moth-proof, flame retardant ability is strong, can be used in outdoor and high temperature environment;
(3) Good waterproof performance, can be exposed to the natural environment and wet conditions for a long time;
(4) With good machining performance, can be cut, drilled, planned in any direction;
(5) with excellent heat insulation, sound insulation effect, coating paint performance is good.
