Product Details

Oriented strand board (OSB), also called European pine board, is made of small diameter wood, interfelled wood, wood core, board veneer, branch Y wood, etc., and processed into 90-130mm long, 5-30mm wide and 0.5mm thick strands in the direction of wood grain by special planing equipment (long wood planer or two-stage chipping planing equipment), then dried, glued, and formed in the prescribed direction by hot pressing. After drying, gluing, laying the shavings in the specified direction, and hot pressing, it is a kind of artificial board.

Oriented Strand Board Advantages:

1. Wide source of raw materials and low price.

The raw materials of oriented strand board are mainly soft coniferous wood, small diameter wood of broad-leaved wood, fast-growing interforest, such as eucalyptus, fir, poplar interforest, etc., which are widely sourced and generally priced at 250-350 yuan per cubic meter. In the case of the increasing scarcity of natural forest resources and the reduction of large diameter wood, the raw materials of man-made boards will gradually shift to rely on artificial fast-growing forests and the full utilization of small diameter wood, and the directional particle board is consistent with the development direction.

2. High yield rate

Compared with other types of wood-based panels, the yield rate of OSB is higher, and the OSB produced with small-diameter logs has changed the characteristics of small-diameter wood which is soft and flimsy, making it into a high-quality wood-based panel with high strength and good stability, which improves the utilization rate of China's wood resources and also reduces the pressure of the scarcity of imported logs.

3. Safety and environmental protection

Isocyanate (MDI) is used in the production process instead of traditional phenolic resin adhesives, with less glue application and low formaldehyde emission, which will not cause harm to the environment and human health, and is a safe and environmentally friendly green material.

The physical and mechanical properties of oriented strand board are far superior to those of ordinary strand board, mainly with the following characteristics:

(2) Anti-corrosion, anti-moth, flame retardant, can be used in outdoor and high temperature environment;

1. Oriented strand board is the preferred material for packaging of export machinery products. It can be widely used in packaging, decorative furniture manufacturing and construction template as well as house construction.
