Density board is a man-made board made of plant wood fiber as the main raw material through thermal grinding, paving, hot pressing and other processes. Due to the uniform structure, fine material, stable performance, impact resistance and easy processing of MDF, it is widely used in domestic furniture, decoration, musical instruments and packaging. According to its density, it can be divided into high-density fiberboard, medium-density fiberboard and low-density fiberboard. Among them, the density range of MDF fiberboard is 650Kg/m³-880Kg/m³, and the density of 880 kg/m3 is hard fiberboard.
1. The characteristics of density board: the surface of density board is smooth and flat, the material is fine and dense, the performance is stable, the edge is firm, and the surface of the board is decorative. However, density boards have poor moisture resistance, and in comparison, density boards have poorer nail-holding power than particle boards. If the screws loosen after tightening, it is difficult to fix them again due to the low strength of density boards.
2. The use of MDF: mainly used for laminate flooring, door panels, partition walls, furniture, etc. Density board is mainly used for surface treatment of mixed oil process in home decoration.
3. Selection of MDF: MDF mainly detects formaldehyde emission and structural strength. MDF is divided into E0 and E1 grades according to formaldehyde emission. Formaldehyde emission exceeding 30mg/100g is unqualified. Generally speaking, most of the density boards of large-scale manufacturers are qualified.
