Particle Board E0 Grade
Particle board, also known as chipboard, flakeboard , it is a man-made board made of wood or other lignocellulosic materials and glued under heat and pressure after applying adhesive. It is mainly used in furniture manufacturing, construction industry, and train and car carriage manufacturing.
Particle Board characteristics
Because particleboard has a relatively uniform structure and good processing performance, it can be processed into large-format boards according to needs, and is a good raw material for making furniture of different specifications and styles. The finished particleboard does not need to be dried again and can be used directly. It has good sound absorption and sound insulation performance.
According to the purpose: Class A particleboard; Class B particleboard
According to the structure of particleboard, it can be divided into: single-layer particleboard; Three-layer structure particleboard; Gradual structure particleboard; Directional particleboard; Waffle particleboard; Molded particleboard.
According to the manufacturing method, it can be divided into: flat-pressed particleboard; Extruded particleboard. According to the raw materials used: wood particleboard; Bagasse particleboard; Flax chipboard; Cotton stalk particleboard; Bamboo particleboard, etc; Cement particleboard; Gypsum particleboard.
According to surface condition:
1. Unfinished particleboard: sanded particleboard; Particleboard not sanded.
2. Facing particleboard: impregnated paper facing particleboard; Decorative laminate veneer particleboard; Veneer veneer particleboard; Surface coated particleboard; PVC veneer particleboard, etc.
Particleboard is divided into three types according to product: low density (0.25~0.45 kg/cm3), medium density (0.45~0.60 kg/cm3), and high density (0.60~1.3 kg/cm3), but most of the particleboards are produced with a density of 0.60~0.70 kg/cm3.
According to the slab structure, there are three structures: single layer, three layers (including multiple layers) and gradual change.
According to water resistance, it is divided into indoor water resistance and outdoor water resistance. According to the arrangement of particle in the slab, there are two types: directional type and random type.
In addition, there are various particleboards made of non-wood materials such as cotton stalk, hemp stalk, bagasse, rice husk, etc., as well as cement wood wool board and cement particleboard made of inorganic adhesive materials.
There are many specifications of particleboard, and the thickness varies from 1.6 mm to 75 mm, with 19 mm as the standard thickness. When evaluating the quality of particleboard, the physical properties that are often considered include density, moisture content, water absorption, thickness expansion rate, etc.; the mechanical properties include static bending strength, tensile strength of vertical board surface (internal bonding strength), elastic modulus of nail holding force and rigidity modulus, etc.; the technological properties include machinability, gluability, paint finish, etc. For particleboard for special purposes, electrical, acoustic, thermal, anti-corrosion, fire prevention, flame retardant and other properties should be considered according to different purposes.
