Particleboard Advantages

A. Good sound-absorbing and sound-insulating performance; Particleboard is heat-insulating and sound-absorbing;

B. The interior is granular with a cross-staggered structure, the performance of each part is basically the same, and the lateral load-bearing capacity is relatively poor;

C. The surface of the particle board is smooth and can be used for various veneers;

D. In the production process of particleboard, the amount of glue used is small, and the environmental protection factor is relatively high.

Particleboard Disadvantages

A. The interior is a granular structure, which is not easy to mill;

B. It is easy to cause violent tooth phenomenon when cutting the board, so some processes have higher requirements for processing equipment; it is not suitable for on-site production;

C. The quality of particleboards on the market is uneven. The environmental protection of inferior particleboards is very poor and the formaldehyde content exceeds the standard. However, with the country's emphasis on environmental protection, the environmental protection of high-quality particleboards has been guaranteed.

Particleboard Quality Judgment

1. From the appearance point of view, look at the size and shape of the sawdust particles in the center of the cross section. The length is generally 5-10MM in length. If it is too long, the structure is loose, and if it is too short, the deformation resistance is poor, and the so-called static bending strength does not meet the standard;

2. The moisture resistance of particleboard depends on its density and moisture-proof agent. Soaking in water is not good enough. Moisture-proof refers to moisture-proof, not water-proof, so it must be distinguished in future use. Northern regions, including North China The moisture content of the panels in the Northwest, Northeast and Northeast should generally be controlled at 8-10%; in the south, including coastal areas, the moisture content should be controlled between 9-14%, otherwise the panels are prone to moisture absorption and deformation.

3. In terms of surface flatness and smoothness, generally it has to be polished with about 200# sandpaper when leaving the factory. Generally speaking, it is better to be finer, but in some cases, such as sticking fireproof boards, etc., it is too thin and it is not easy to glue
