Furniture Use Particle Board
Particleboard has very good sound absorption and sound insulation properties, so it has good advantages in heat insulation and sound absorption, mainly because the interior of the particleboard is a cross-staggered granular structure.
Particleboard is suitable for various veneers because of its flat surface, and it has a wide range of uses.
Particleboard also has a very good advantage, its high environmental protection factor, because the amount of glue used in the production process is small.
Uses of Particleboard
1. As a base material: Industrial grade particleboard is suitable as a base material for veneer, and many veneer materials are available. Particleboard has uniform density, small thickness tolerance, and smooth surface, which is a good veneer substrate.
2. Kitchen cabinets: Particleboards can be used as cabinet shelves, side panels, back panels, drawers, doors and other parts. Particleboards have performance and economic advantages. The grades of kitchen cabinet boards are M--S, M- -2, M--3.
3. Counter top: Particleboard is stable in size, flat, smooth, without knots or holes, high impact, easy to veneer, can be used as the core board of the counter top, and meets the performance standard of ANST A 161.2 veneer counter.
4. Floor laying board: 4 X 8 feet particleboard is easy to install and can be used as floor laying board, (PBU) plus rough floor, this kind of floor has high strength, strong sound effect and impact resistance. Can be installed with nails or groove rings, followed by carpet, resilient tile or seamless floor covering. 5. Housing decking: Housing decking MHD thickness between 5/8 inches and 13/16 inches, is a square tongue and groove board, made of specific length and width. MHD complies with ANST A 208.1 standard and has two grades D2 and D3.
6. Stair Treads: It is an excellent material for indoor stair treads. It will not crack and has various lengths. The material utilization rate is high and the waste is minimized. Particleboard tread boards are uniform in thickness, and one side of the board is rounded, which saves time and is convenient for installation.
7. Shelving: This is a common use and provides the builder with an affordable, flat, easy-to-cut, non-porous board with a smooth surface. The application of industrial grade depends on specific requirements. Particleboard shelves are plain, or have square or rounded edges.
8. Door core, door frame and molded parts: Particleboard door core is not as easy to warp as solid wood, and its heat insulation and sound resistance can help reduce heat loss and sound wave transmission. Door studs made of particle board, wrapped in PVC or ready to be painted, are an affordable option for building a home. Particleboard is also a good substrate for PVC clad interior moldings and architectural joinery.
