Particleboard is a building material made of scraps of wood or other materials containing lignocellulose, which are glued together under the dual effects of heat and pressure after applying adhesives on the basis of the scraps. Particleboard is a type of wood-based panel. Particleboard is also called flakeboard because the synthetic material of particleboard is mainly scrap.
Which is better, particleboard or density board
The physical properties of density board and particle board are different, and there are not small differences in many aspects. When we evaluate building materials, it is difficult to determine which one is strong and which is weak. Most of the time, we need to decide which building materials to choose according to the occasion and space used. Of course, from the perspective of interior space, density board is obviously better than particle board. Why is this?
The nature of the whole MDF board is the same, and its plasticity is very good. We can carve out various line shapes on the MDF board, which is more in line with people's aesthetics. However, the interlayer bonding force of the density board is relatively poor, and it is easy to cause cracking and delamination when the end is punched or punched.
In addition, compared with the density board, the density of the surface layer of the particle board is higher, and the density of the middle part is lower. This characteristic also determines that the ordinary particle board has basically no plasticity. But the particleboard is not useless. The interlayer bonding force of the particleboard is very good, and the nail holding power is also relatively prominent. It is suitable for flat and right-angled panels, which is commonly known as panel furniture.
But why is MDF more suitable for indoor space and furniture construction? This is in terms of price and environmental protection. On the one hand, MDF has less formaldehyde content and is less harmful to the human body. The cost of MDF is lower and it is popular in furniture production.
